Event Details

Join us on Wednesday 26 July, 7 – 9pm for an insightful talk with artist Michael Landy  at Gunnersbury Park Museum.

Michael Landy is one of the Young British Artists (YBAs). He is best known for the performance piece installation Break Down (2001), in which he destroyed all his possessions, and for the Art Bin project (2010) at the South London Gallery. On 29 May 2008, Landy was elected a member of the Royal Academy of Arts in London.

Michael will talk about his practice and the memorial statue being considered for Gunnersbury Park with the Humanitarian Aid Memorial. There will be opportunities to ask questions and discover more about Gunnersbury’s future plans to engage with local artists and arts communities.
