Event Details

Join us for this exciting panel discussion to mark the centenary of the BBC and get a glimpse behind the scenes of one of its longest running shows.

Chaired by Jessica Carney (author, agent and granddaughter of the original Doctor, William Hartnell), we will explore how design and performance combine to create the unique and well-loved world of Doctor Who.

The panel will feature artist Jeremy Bear (production designer on the show in the 1970s, notable episodes include ‘The Seeds of Doom’ and ‘The Mutants’); acclaimed Visual Effects Designer Mike Tucker of Ealing Studios-based The Model Unit (responsible for the acclaimed miniature effects in Doctor Who episode ‘Thin Ice’ among many other visual effects), actor Jessica Martin (Mags the werewolf) and actor Joe Sims (Mark Seven).
