Creative Mile – Brentford Art Trail is back!

This September we are set to walk the walk again on another art fuelled Creative Mile.  Starting at the London Museum of Water & Steam, the trail takes in Musical Museum, Studio Flox, and Watermans Art Centre and winds its way down to the buzzing arts quarter on Catherine Wheel Road where you will find a hive of creatives spaces including the Lôft, Johnsons Island, Redlees Studios and The Duke of London. Attracting over 3,000 visitors to Brentford in 2021, this year’s event will take place 2 – 4 September 2022.

I am delighted that Creative Mile will be taking place again this year.  Local art events like this provide a great opportunity for the whole community to come together and celebrate creativity. Brentford has such a rich creative heritage and there is some amazing talent in the town.  I hope that this event will give artists working in the area a chance to showcase their work to a wider audience – Mr Mr Pearce, Artistic Director

Creative Mile has a relaxed and friendly Festival vibe and a great opportunity to discover and support a variety of local creatives and hidden artist communities as they open their studios to the public for the weekend. There is also a chance to browse and buy original contemporary paintings, sculptures and prints. There will be a special late opening at some of the venues on Friday 2nd September for a chance to have a sneak preview, mingle with the artists and have a drink.

This year it will be even brighter and bolder than ever with the chosen theme of colour.  This event will invite artists to respond in their own creative way to the theme and visitor’s are also encouraged to come dressed in rainbow hues so it’s hopefully going to be a colourful event!
