Trio Manouche with Italian vocalist Francesca Confortini plus Special Surprise Guests: Following their show at George IV during last year’s EFG London Jazz Festival the Gypsy Swing Jazz ensemble return to the Boston Room along with some very special guests.
As well as performing re-worked classics of the great Gypsy jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt, Trio Manouche will be debuting numbers from their forthcoming new release penned by band leader Simon Harris together with highly atmospheric arrangements of trad swing greats such as Nat King Cole.
Trio Manouche are exponents of Gypsy Swing Jazz, bringing a unique and highly contemporary twist to this ever more popular genre with Simon again being joined by guitarist Giulio Romano and bassist Marcus Penrose along with the celebrated Italian swing vocalist Francesca Confortini.
Between them their playing credits include Gregory Porter, Mark Ronson, Alicia Keys, Kyle and the Puppini Sisters. They have performed in top jazz venues in the UK and abroad, playing major festivals such as the EFG London Jazz Festival, Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party and the Shambala Festival.
