Ceramic workshop for adults with ceramic sculptor, Claire Ireland

Join us for a workshop with ceramic sculptor Claire Ireland and explore the delights of paperclay. It is extremely versatile, warp free and light after firing. Paper pulp added to clay extends its creative possibilities and allows the maker to be experimental, more of an artist and less of a technician.

Participants will be introduced to methods of making spoons using small press moulds and plant fragments collected from the Manor House grounds to create embossed patterns and textures.

The workshop will take place at Claire’s studio at the London Museum of Water and Steam. All the materials and tools required for the session will be supplied and the finished work will be fired by Claire and available for collection back at the House from the reception desk during opening hours.

Cost: £40

Free Carpark available
