What’s going on at Boston Manor Park this December including Christmas family activities.

Volunteering and Conservation opportunities

If you’re a new volunteer, please email before joining your session to arrange your induction.  

Weekly Gardening and Conservation Volunteeringevery Tuesday, 10am-12.30pm. Meet outside the Service Yard/ Walled Garden (opposite the tennis courts).  Suitable for ages 14+ (under 18s require parent/carer consent). Join Natural Park Manager, Vanessa, and carry out a variety of conservation and horticulture tasks around the park. Wear sturdy boots or shoes as well as clothes for working outdoors.  

Youth Volunteering, Saturday 17 December, 10.30am – 12.30pm. We are expanding our volunteering opportunities (for ages 14-18) and will be running regular sessions for teenagers looking to meet the Duke of Edinburgh award ‘Volunteering’ requirement and all teenagers wanting to volunteer.

Activities could include conservation, gardening, and helping to run family events. Emailing Tash at  in advance is essential as session times will vary depending on the itinerary.

Free Nature, Fitness, Wellbeing and Art

Free Fitness sessions, every Monday from 28 November to 19 December, 12.30 – 1.30pm, with Rosangela from Quit the Gym. Ages 18+, just drop in! (free sessions will run until mid-January 2023)

Mosaic making for older children and adults (Ages 10 andup), Tuesday 20 December, 10am -12pm. Make a beautiful mosaic for your house or garden, and learn how to grout it. Free, booking essential. Book via  

Winter Wellbeing Family Walk, Tuesday 20 December, 2-3pm.  Join Tash for a family friendly nature walk, learn a bit about the wildlife that lives in the park, and the plants that make that possible. No booking required, and free of charge. Meet under the Great Cedar Tree on the main lawn.

Christmas Family Festivities

Sunday 18 and Monday 19 December 2-4pmStorytelling with local authors, historical walks and decoration making for children. Free of charge, simply drop in.
