Enjoy a theme-filled year of food and musical events at the Old Isleworth Market

Time for Tea & Treats at Old Isleworth Market this Saturday!

It’s a Tea Party theme at this month’s Old Isleworth Market, taking place on 23rd April at Shrewsbury Walk (off South Street), TW7 7DE from 10am until 2pm.

Following March’s popular chocolate-themed market, local stallholders will be dusting down their best china and getting out the picnic blankets for a Tea Party.

There’ll be lots of delicious food, including artisan bread, jams, chutneys, street food, curries and, of course, cakes to go with your tea – all made by local independent businesses.

In addition, there will be a preloved books stall in aid of Unicef’s Ukraine appeal. The stall raised £105 at last month’s market and some stallholders also donated a proportion of their takings to the appeal.

If you’re on the lookout for gifts, check out the range of local arts, crafts and beauty products too and, because a party’s not a party without music.

The Old Isleworth Markets are well known for their excellent live music. Recently, we heard from the wonderful Paul Eaton and at this Saturday’s market, we’ll have live music from acclaimed singer, songwriter and guitarist, Elaine Samuels. Elaine has featured on television and radio and has performed at the Glastonbury Festival and at Liverpool’s Cavern Club (with her Kindred Spirit Band).

“Elaine has a voice which can be both hauntingly beautiful and deeply emotional, coupled with a powerful stage presence. Her material ranges from folk through to blues but it is her rich repertoire of perceptive, intriguing, self-penned songs combined with her guitar work that sets her apart”

Rosie Upton, Bath Evening Chronicle

May’s market, to be held on Saturday, May 21st, will feature a Flower theme, followed by a Music Festival themed event on June 25th and a Hawaiian Beach Party theme for the market on July 16th.

The market will also be participating in the local jubilee celebrations on Friday 3rd June it’s usual home on Shrewsbury Walk from midday. There will be lots of fun activities on Isleworth Village Green – egg and spoon race, dancing display, tug of war, face painting, plus live music.

Hope to see you there!
