As part of Hounslow Council’s Thriving Communities Programme, Cultivate London are running a series of outreach workshops across the borough working with volunteer groups to establish and/or revitalise community green spaces.
Both Hounslow and Cultivate want to build up a wide-ranging group of people utilising their green spaces whilst improving their mental health, participating in physical exercise, learning about food, the environment and healthy living. They’ll be working alongside others, including those from open community groups, NHS early intervention teams and both specialist and mainstream Hounslow borough schools.
We will be working with up to 8 new groups across the borough through our HIVE Outreach programme which is being funded by Hounslow Council. Through this programme, we hope to create new green champions with new sites that produce healthy nutritious food while also being a hub for social interaction and a sense of community. We are continuing to liaise with our groups from last year and encourage them all to keep their green spaces alive to be enjoyed by everyone.
The weekly workshops, open to the public, will take place from mid-March through to November 2022 at various green spaces across the borough.

In addition, there are monthly mentoring workshops at Cultivate London’s beautiful Salopian Garden in Isleworth – open to all. See separate flyer attached.
