From outdoor theatre and dance to film and music, the spectacular events programme brings something for everyone this summer across the whole borough.

Pyrodise, Firebirds – Summer of Culture 2024 Launch & 10th Anniversary of Bell Square

Saturday 8 June, 9.30PM – Bell Square. Free, all ages.

Join us to launch Summer of Culture 2024 and celebrate the 10th anniversary of this exciting outdoor arts space in the heart of Hounslow, a place where anyone and everyone can come to see some of the best outdoor performers in the world, for free. In Pyrodise even the smallest flame will dance up a storm. Be entranced as the creatures who inhabit this land celebrate fire, movement and manipulation.

Brentford Canal Festival

Saturday 22 June, Basin, Gauging Lock, Brentford Lock Piazza and Market Place. Free, all ages.

The Brentford Canal Festival recognises the importance of the waterways in establishing Brentford, and to bring our community together for a day of fun where they can appreciate and enjoy life by the water.


STREETS ALIVE

21-22 June, Bell Square

Free, all ages welcome.

A full weekend of participative outdoor events. Friday 21 June, 11AM – 5PM – Hounslow High Street. Free, all ages welcome.

Paul Ramirez Jonas – Public Trust

How serious are the promises we make to one another, the vows we take, or the pledges made by our civic leaders? Public Trust asks participants to examine the value of their word. Participants declare a promise that is recorded in a drawing they can keep. That promise is published on a monumental marquee board, placed amongst promises made by politicians, scientists, economists or companies.

Diana Gadish – Handle With Care. 1PM and 3.30PM, Bell Square

A street show with a tender message that we should all take care of each other. Artist Diana Gadish brings her charming show to Hounslow for families of all ages to enjoy. Prepare to be surprised and delighted as you help an enchanting yet unconfident character face her fears and start a party that everyone is invited to.

Company Chamaleon – Amarnthine

Combining a rich mix of dance styles, drawing from an amalgamation of dance techniques including contemporary dance, b-boying, capoeira and partner work, Amaranthine explores a male and female relationship, and follows a couple in conflict as they desperately try to reconnect and find resolution.


Anhad, South Asian Festival

20 July, Hounslow High Street and Bell Square. Free, all ages.

This festival will bring a uniquely colourful and vibrant celebration of contemporary South Asian outdoor arts – including performance, dance, music, family shows and much more. It aims to give a platform for UK South Asian creativity across all arts.

Creative Mile – Brentford Art Trail

30 August to 1 September, Brentford.

Free, all ages.

Brentford’s Art Trail connects venues along with exhibiting artists, creatives and makers including painters, ceramicists, printmakers, hat makers, mosaic artists, jewellery makers, poets, musicians and sculptors. The weekend includes artists and makers from Brentford and across the borough of Hounslow for a weekend of open studios and exhibitions.
